Not sure there is an easy fix.  I always tell my students the only way to fix a problem is to know the cause and eliminate it.  In this case it is going to be difficult to eliminate the cause.  I would do a simple clean and restore and let the client know that it will return

This is a brushed and plolished finish marble that has acid rain etching and lime putty leaching out everywhere. Tying to think of an easy fix option to go along with the full on repair. There is a lot of it.
