Thanks Stu, Counter top is slab, probably resinated , the backsplash is granite tile, very poor choice for this application. Replacement would beĀ  the smartest fix but quite involved as the granite rises up to a 10ft ceiling and wraps around a large exhaust fan. This is a condo property with a hundred + units.
