I use national chemical labs ceramic restoration cream for all of our ceramic and porcelain polishing. It works really well for us. It is easy to use and may be worth a test.

thanks for the info Stewart. I will give them a call but we all know it's just a band aid and won't cure the problem. They have numerous tiny spots around the floor but that one bad area they want to hide until theres a solution to the problem

I like the Jack Hammer idea!!
Pat/Carl-have you ever used the hertron ceramic/ porcelain polish.
I think it is a crystallizer for ceramic of some sort.
I heard it works well but-
I haven't used it yet so I don't know what it is or isn't capable of-
Give hertron a call

Nothing yet, I told the building owners to contact supplier and work out whether they are going to replace or take the rest of whatever was put on it off and live with it at a more satin look.

Hi Pat
What did you find was the solution to this problem?

Did anybody ever see something like this happen on a new Porcelain floor. They said it is a spill from coffee.
Then the tile supplier recommended cleaning with Aqua Mix tile & grout cleaner (alkaline) and the same thing happened.
No residue on surface, can't feel a difference on tiles, if you wet it, it darkens for a split second
