V3 is a resin that VMC sells as an after product for crystallizer.
It reduces the slipperiness and rounds off the finish.
I have been able under the right conditions to produce very good finishes on marginal stones.
For a stone like this MB-12 with a minimum 2.5 hp machine(wet to dry technique) should produce a good finish.
We just developed MB-22 into a paste.
It works very well-were hoping to get it packaged and out in the market soon.

Thanks guys. I am going to try mb12 and crystalizer tomorrow.  Maybe mb20 again too. Will let you know.
Stu, what's v3?

Start the cut  with 220 and work up to 800 or 1800.
Make sure the stone is dry-then try polishing.
Doesn't look like a good silver trav .
Who knows where it might have come from.
MB-12 should do well on this stone-then go from there.
V-3 after a crystalizer has the ability to add smoothness to the finish and increase the reflection.

Maybe a super waxy crystalizer like the hertron prime grind M or the white VMC and a white pad instead of steel wool. I haven't used a crystalizer in 10 years so not sure what's out there. The best is the rjsc stone hardener 2 but it is no longer in production. Also look into VMC v 3 who's is a resin for filling pores. You can also burnish a good shine with the miricle sealants enhancer believe it or not, a great trick for problem limestone.

Guys and gals,
last week i did a sample polishing for one of our clients on their limestone floor and to my disbelief i couldn't get it to shine. I went up to 1800 grit and still no gloss. Little better but no gloss as it in their atrium. The lobby where I was working had some glossy and some honed tiles. The atrium, which is connected to the lobby has only glossy tiles. Was told that it was like that from the beginning and to the designer request. I don't think so but now the client wants entire floor glossy. When we evaluated that floor prior to bidding we didn't expect this kind of difficulty getting it to the glossy finish. I tried 5x, mb22 and mb20 and no big difference between them. Crystalizer is next to try. Some veining are glossy like mirror but not the rest of it. Am i doing something wrong? Did anyone experienced something like that? What else can do?
