Tony-if you cant feel it then consider it a scuff.
Try using 80 grit sandpaper(120 or 70 grit electroplated will work also) -you should see a difference.
I really like those electroplated pads from AT. They cost a fortune but cut very well.
You could drop lower to 60g if the 80 doesn't remove it.
If you use 60 then finish the sanding with 80 grit paper before you go wet.
Then go to 50 resin and up to 120 or 220 resin.
Then most chiseled trav in kitchens are medium to high hone.
Easily replicated with a vortex or similar pads.,
