it almost looks like a porcelain tile that I was dealing with about 6 months ago. It was also etching when anything acidic was spilled on it. it will probably continue to happen no matter what you do. my recommendation to the hotel I was dealing with was to take the coloring out and make it all a little duller

​This tile looks like a gray travertine. It etches and adsorbs water like limestone. When even a neutral ph product is used to scrub a spot it can leave a etch mark. Does any one have any ideas  as to what it is and what could I do to fix the etch areas?
