I usually wait for 36 hours before working on new grout. I would us honing powders and eliminate any issues with picture framing. Use a natural hair pad or if there is some lippage in the floor use a white pad. The softness of the white pad will get into the corners better.
What about the edges. There will probably be some hand work to consider.

I think you can hone it after a few days .
As far as knocking off the polish use vortex pads to start.
Use.a 220 red dot vortex pads to start.
You will need to get the edges nd any picture frames .
Place a white pad between the vortex and pad driver.
Finish with another vortex pad or any way you normally do.
