I always tell folks(stone refinishers)to try and work with different products especially polishing compounds.
I think it makes us better craftsman and gets us to try new things. Its boring to stay in our comfort zone all the time.
You will never know if you don't try a new product or technique.
The key to this business is to produce the best possible results for the client within the time (or earlier)  you allocated for the job. Being able to move thru a full schedule with no delays is key and keeps the stress in check as well. I agree with Kevin hard to make a comparison with MB-12. Its a pain in the ass to use-well in the beginning anyway. I can really appreciate your comments Scott ,learning how to use MB-12 is an investment in time and patience. Once you get it however you can increase productivity and results. It isn't for everyone however.
I attached a pic of a job one of our new guys did today. His first MB-12 job on April fools day.
He had been practicing for a while. The pic isn't to good-he took it facing into the house-Saint Laurent and white thassos.
We use diaglo products occasionally -Abrasive technologies is a great company.
SCC products are good products-lots of experience there-for some reason they don't like MB-12.
Could be powder prejudice!!

Scott,
I have tried it and produces really good results. You use it just like 5X but I found that you don't need as much because it's a hotter compound. Maybe half of what you would use on a 10 sq ft area when using 5x. It is green similar to Dia Glow. Be sure to neutralize the surrounding area it etches easy. Compared to MB-12 not really sure. They both have their places wet versus dry depending on the situation. I had difficulty working on a stone and it got me off the job when nothing else would work. For me it's another tool to have in the tool box. I like products that work. You may ask Bob for a sample to test. It is a little pricey.  My thoughts!
