We run a 200/400 grit DIP pad in between our 220 resin and 400 resin diamond cuts.
It knocks out the frames and we can take it right to the baseboard.
In some cases we will run a white pad between the driver and the DIP.
Sometimes we will even add weight.
Works well for us.

Yes polished good with 5x, you can sand it but it takes alot to get out the v-edges.
