I don't think it falls back on anyone its just what some of that stone does. I would think the person selling it would have the decency let people know there is that possibility.

The shower is less than 2 years old. Their friends have the same type of shower
bout 3 years old with no signs no discoloration. Is there any way to tell if iron damage
could occur before buying it?  Is any one responsible if it does occur in a short
period after installation? Such as the supplier builder?
