I just finished a floor with Portuguese Marble. I did a fair amount of research because I didn't know what it was. Portuguese can have different colored veining ranging from black to gold, but there is a distinctive  veining characteristic where the veining appears to sort of submerge and then reappear kind of like chocolate sauce in milk.
