first I would check the product and see if it says you can use it on marble if it does make a claim to the company. if somebody at the store they bought the chemical recommended they use that then they can make that company pay for the repair or see if the customer can turn it into their insurance company as a claim and get the work done for free and you can charge whatever you want and make good money. if the customer is paying out of pocket I guess you can short cut it and do it with the honing powders and polish but as I said earlier its just my personal opinion you do not get as nice of a finish with honing powders as you do if you would use diamonds and flatten it. then again you could use diamonds then honing powders and alternate steps to give you that flat appearance then polish.

I guess the question is does the customer want the for flattened or do they just want the shine back? Each process comes with a cost.

If your going to flatten it I would charge $10-12 sqft up here in Phila.
My personal opinion with polishing after honing powders is you get a grainy appearance and not a flat appearance like you do with diamonds.

Why flatten hone with honing powders or a honing pad. Then 5x polish. If needed add q 10 or 20 pound weight to get t into the low corners.

Got a call from a customer that washed her marble floor 12x12 with a acid grout cleaner.

The low spots in corners are burnt with the cleaner . I think this floor needs to be flattened. Just asking. What's the going rate in your area for this type of work.
