No, if damaged it is replaced or you could seam in an area…not easily damaged tho. It has a melting point of 150C, and it can be sliced by a razor, so the owners need to treat it like formica, hot pads and cutting boards. One of the best things about is that it can be used for restoration as well, the acrylic adhesives make most of the etch marks disappear, only super deep etches need a quick hit with a dry 120 resin pad because the texture could show the otherwise. This skin also allows the stone to breathe. The market for application in the US is $18-22 sf. to apply, so it is a lot cheaper than the resin coatings, and better for hospitality use, the room will not smell like a surfboard factory for an entire day. Subject: CLEARSTONE COATING BAR REPAIRThis is a bartop we did almost three years ago-we produced a high honed finish not a high polish.This damaged area is where all the drinks get served.There were cracks in the surface from beer bottles and bottles of wine being placed down hard.The pics show the prep, the primer and the poured coating.The final pics are the repair blended in.Not bad for a coating on a limestone bartop that gets a lot of traffic.
