So I guess if one were to come across it and find that there was a problem, one should tell the owner to contact the manufacturer to make good on the warranty. Maybe also worthwhile to become a certified Q seal repair person. I tried that rout at one point with Dupont, who makes Corian, and it was largely a waste of time because they will not pay the certified repair person enough to make it worth while.

The owner is the one who will spec it out as it is sold by tile shops and such.
The lifetime warranty continues so the new owners would have to be aware.
The product isn't cheap .
Its easy to recognize as the coating has a texture and makes the stone look "coated"
I always carry a razor blade and always check for waxes and or coatings on stone.

So the problem would be that the owner would have to know that is was applied. Is it easily identifiable?

Hey Mike
Never saw it on countertops.
Shower stall and floors.
Its applied at the factory-there isn't any mechanical refinishing done at all.
It wouldn't work on countertops IMO.

Stu. Is it only applied in their factory? CAn it be done on installed countertops?  Looks like vitramela.

Fred,
I have removed Q Seal product from a shower stall. Stu Rosen has a great deal of experience with this product.
