I would say this - not worth it for day to day work. I don't like working for contractors, I will not work according to their scope of work because it's usually misinformed, they typically don't pay up front, they typically don't give you time to review a job or do a test, and usually they are bidding against other contractors so there is often a slim chance of getting the job anyway. That being said - every once in a blue moon we have had some pretty good things fall in our lap. I'm not sure that equals a good return on money spent, but I've made dumber decisions in my life.
