I agree with Fred
Installation may be a mess-I stay away from exterior work as much as possible.

I would also check the tiles for being loose.  There may be other problems other than cracked or missing grout.

I am going to see that patio tomorrow or on friday.
According to customer, grout is cracked in many places, which allows water to get underneath the stone and lift it when it freezzes.
In regards to color sealing, I don't think it is viable solution for outside.

Yes good point-Maybe it just needs to be cleaned and sealed and or densified.

I am wondering what everyone's take is on regrouting vs color sealing. What would the difference in what I would charge someone for one vs the other?  We do a fair amount of color sealing and for some reason or other haven't come across much grout that is not structurally sound and should be replaced, although maybe folks replace grout as a matter of course anyway?

Guys and gals,
I got a call from customer asking to regrout 3000 Sg ft limestone patio in upscale neighborhood, overlooking Lake Michigan. We do regrouting on almost daily basis but they are inside. The outside in Midwest is completely different ball game. Heat, wet, humid, freeze and huge temperature swings, we got it all. Challenge is to use Grout that can withstand all this.
I am looking for your recommendation and to share your experience if you have done something like this.
Thanks in advance.
