Hey Tony,
Exactly what the link Randy pasted are electroplated.
Basically the diamonds are chemically bonded to the pad using an electric current.
It like sandpaper but high quality electroplated provide a nice aggressive but smooth cut.
We use abrasive technology pads-expensive but well made.
I find polished blue stone sort of strange -worked on one in a big yard full of green grass and shrubbery .
The first thing you saw when you walked the back door was a large bluestone countertop.
It look so blue and out of place back there.
The owners hated it too-it was the designers idea. He loved it-
After the first pizza party for the kids they had to pay me to get all the grease stains out and seal it for real.

I think Stu is talking about a diamond similar to what you see on this link

Is that one of those polished flat slabs of bluestone.
Treat like a sandstone-abrasive
I would test a spare piece see what you get.
Electroplated dry then resins wet.
Might try concrete resins but they may be too aggressive.

Got a call from slab yard. They have a bluestone slab with scratches.
I have never worked on bluestone before. What is the best way to remove them and with what type of pads?
