Stu, this counter top I am looking at has scratches in it like from a strap 1ā€™ā€™ wide maybe from shipping. Also current sheen is at a high satin and they want it to be higher in gloss. I did a small sample with your mb 20 and it worked nicely to bump up the sheen. Iā€™m concerned after honing out the scratches getting the sheen back.

Be careful-true quartzite is harder than #$%^.
If you have etch marks and or scratches chances are that it isn't true quartzite.
I have a job am looking at know that have some colors on the surface that etch and others that don't.
The minerals that don't etch are very hard and wont scratch easily.

Is quartzite refinished the same process as granite? If so, what diamond grit do you take it up to before it will polish?

Thanks
