Looks like deep staining. If it didn"t test for rust you can use several different poultices.
I like to test a few different ones-Here I would try some prosoco limestone and marble poultice.
It is a slow process but may work.

Partners, I have a 6x10 Marble foyer with scratches and yellowing in the center of most of the tiels. Floor is around 20 years plus. Looks like iron. What is the proper way to test for iron and to correct problem.
