You have to wait a couple of days till it dries.  If the poltice did not remove at least 50% then that type of poltice will not work. If it did keep polticing until satisfied. I have not tried this on marble but I did do one on granite years ago by scrubbing with ammonia for 20 minutes then with eyther for 20 minutes this will open the pores and break down the oil. after that is done apply paste jasco paint stripper and let sit 12 to 24 hours to wick.  This is not a fun process I have never found a venalator that helps when using ammonia and eyther so make sure us have as much venatlation as possible.  It is not a fun process and I would not have a tech do this due to liability.  I would charge a lot since this is not good for your respatory system.  It took me 5 to 6 applications to satisfy my customer so you have to give the customer a price for the 1st app and the each additional app.  On the first app take into account our full material costs and the after more of a time cost.  You can get spray eyther at most car supply stores (quick start) is spray eyther.

Partners,

The plumbers son used plumbers putty on this faucet install three months ago. The homeowner contacted the builder a few weeks after the install when he noticed the darkening around the faucet area. The builder did not make it out there for another week. He applied the first poultice almost a month after the damage was done. He applied three more poultices since then, some remaining on the stone for a week or more. He used The DuPont product for removing oil stains.
I was called in this week and applied a 40% peroxide poultice with baby powder. Removed the plastic yesterday and the poultice today. This picture still shows the darker area. Will check again on Monday when everything is dried out.
Homeowner handpicked this slab a year ago and would be hard to match. Not sure if the poultices should continue or we should give up if this last one is unsuccessful.
Any thoughts or recommendations?
Thanks, Chris
