Depending up[on the finish the customer is looking for , honing powder will work. Depending upon the finish honing pads will also work.  I would do a sample with a 400 honing powder or pad if the customer is looks for less shine at that level drop down to a 250 powder or 200 pad. The pads are not as aggressive as the powders even though they may be the same grit range.
