Thanks Stu,
Did the Mequiars wax darken the stone?

The material you are working on is a "look alike stone" to St Laurent marble which is from France and reacts just like Nero Marquina.
While St Laurent is easy to work with and gives you great results-
This stone you are working on is a "BITCH" to work with. We had to do a shower stall of this material.
I think it is African St Laurent ,I think it is harder to work with than china black or Belgian black.
We used MB-22 along with very small amounts of 12(not sure if 12 is a good idea).
We had issues the entire time we worked on it-
We had issues with the crystallizer as well-we use number 1 steel wool.
No matter what we did we had issues-the stone seems to have a haze on it right out of the factory-
The Cristador may help-but as Kevin said check the moisture-may even help to blow dry it-
I hate to say it but what worked for us was meguiar's gold carnuba wax.
There I said it-It got us out the door with a fairly good result-
This is a very tough stone to work on-

Marble Polish Crystalizer
Going to go back with Cristadur, new resin pads and mb12.
Also will take some tin oxide and oxalic.

Tony,
Sometime ago, we did a job that was similar to the job you are working on and found it difficult to polish. Come to find out it was a moisture issue. We returned the next day and had great success. Try MB-12 or another compound and see what results you get.

Brown Marble-Need some help on this.

1.     1.   We cannot get a deep dark shine on this marble.

400, 800, 1800, 3500. Polish with 5x that did nothing.

2.        2. Our 3 inch resins (1800 and 3500) left scratches and resin marks.

What resin pads are the best. This is the second time we have had the

Scratch issues with the higher grit.

3. Should i plan on finishing it with 00steel wool and a crystalizer?
