A little more unorthodox, but a few years ago we worked on a terrazzo tiled floor that was coated with stonelok. We were able to remove it and also condition the floor by applying large quantities of honing powder under a coated pad - no stripper.  It was originally planned two be a two step process involving a final light polish with 5x. But as we moved along, I tried mixing the 5x in with the honing powder and we got it all done in one step (the edges were a little harder but we used the same methodology with angle grinders). We were shooting for a satin finish.

Hi Partners,

What are your recommendations on removing topical coatings? We have used the paint stripper with methylene chloride, but would like to get away from that. We have heard soda blasting can be effective. Any info/advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
