I will lightly scrape off anything that may be on the surface with a plastic spatula and then put some paper towels with 35% hydrogen peroxide to see what that does. The hydrogen peroxide can be purchased at a beauty supply store. Gloves must be worn when working with the hydrogen peroxide

Subject: Consumer question - Marble fungus?

Hi Partners,

We have a consumer with a "marble issue" and needs help.
A towel was left on a marble Town counter top bathroom vanity.
They left the property for a few days and when they returned there was a pinkish orange light brown fungus growing. Picture is provided.
He would like to know how to get rid of the discoloration.
Any ideas?

Thanks much,

Doug
