I just did 6000 Sf of epoxy terrazzo with small wormholes and textured/bumpie kind of look because of the striping and waxing to remove the textured look to smooth finish i had to grind with 70gr metals on Terrco 2000 machine then skim the whole floor with color matched terrazzo epoxy, broadcast marble powder on top of the skim coat and go over the floor with planetray machine equipped with grouting packs. This process fills everything nice and fast. As Stu mention we dont get any terrazzo in NY NJ that we can start at any resin level we have to grind everything withe 70 metals and go up. I also find on previous job that it was cementitius terrazzo in historic building that the new diamonds from Stu are amazing and save me lots of work and time. I used Terrco 2000 machine and went 70, 120gr metals (10seg) dry, then switched to Stu's diamonds and used 200gr transition/hybrid and follow with 400,800,1800 resin wet and the floor needed just light cristalizing to pop the shine and give the floor its deep reach color. In my honest opinion autoscrubbers are waist of time. I used them only for cleaning up between the grits. i have try to hone the floor with Tennant autoscrubber after initial grinding and it works but planetary machine or Terrco, STI is at least 6 times faster then any autoscrubber and the battery never last me more then 4 hours, so dont get me wrong yes it works but planetary machine will get the jobe done in fraction of time of any mono machine or autoscrubber. Its only my 5 cents. Just to give you guys an idea i did 16000 SF hospital lobby with tons of cracks that were filled with epoxy and aggregates, and the whole floor had to be grouted/filled because of pinholes. I used 32" planetary machine starting at 40 gr. metals to polish i completed the job in 15 days and it me and one helper.
Attached pictures not that good of quality are from the job that i used Stu's new diamonds( dont remember the name of the diamonds so Stu can tell us the name) no powder polishing just very light cristalizing.
