Hello Partners,
Below is a photo of a black
kitchen counter that has a honed finish and quite a few blemishes that
look like etch marks and scratches. At first, I thought it is soapstone
but I am not sure. I took a piece of a diamond-encrusted pad (800
grit) and tried it on a blemished area (by hand with water) and it did
nothing.
If it is soapstone, what would I use to get the
piece to have a consistant honed finish and what would I do to preserve
it; ie, sealer (or oil?)
