I would approach this with some testing- First and very important-make sure you charge for testing and write a contract explaining the scope of the test.
Get a deposit or paid in advance-
I would mark off a 25 sq ft area that appears to be the worst area .
I would bring my grinding box which has a good selection of tooling starting with 16 grit metals in different bond hardness. So that I can use the bonds to make the most effective use of the diamonds.
An example would be for that limestone I would use a hard or very hard metal bond diamond pad.
The key is finding the easiest way to achieve the result.
I would try a couple of different combinations starting with 3 inch electroplated 70 grit pads-run 3-4 pads on a swing machine-wet.
If I start with four pads and looks like I am close we would switch to 3 pads and check again.
If the electroplated weren't aggressive enough I would go to 70 metals and so on until I found a process.
I might even consider going in advance and densify the test area by applying limestone densifier until rejection.
Then on the day we test, the limestone will be less porous and somewhat harder making it possibly easier to work on.
From what I see in the pics there are various degrees of damage-so in some areas you can be less aggressive.

DIY customer used a pressure washer at 2500+ psi on his limestone porch, causing massive gauging in the slabs. Has anyone ever encountered this before? Recommendations for resolving these deep trenches? Oof.
