Thanlsbe bleeding thru in a gray color?of months. Now in a couple areas around the pool it is very noticeable. The stone is gray. Could the white mortarof removing saw marks and cleaning on 6000 sf. The blotchy areas were only slightly noticeable after the first coupleThe stone is very soft and porous. When grouting you must use a good quality grout release. We did the final restorationThanks Stu.Cantera is used here more and more. It is from Mexico. They use it inside and outside. On Thu, Nov 17, 2016 at 3:33 PM, stuart rosen <mail@stoneshine.com> wrote:Tony,I am not familiar with that stone other than it is very porous.I found this info regarding the stone-"Volcanic/Canterra Stone also has special properties, its porosity and complex composition does not allow the stone to expand or contract in varying temperature and weather conditions. Furthermore, its porosity causes solar heat to be transferred to its interior causing a natural isolation. If used in outside walk ways, pool-decks, patios and drive ways the roughness causes a natural water no-slip surface preventing accidents around the pool. Finally its large silica content helps to reduce mildew or other fungi to be attached in its pores alleviating bleach and pressure cleaning over time.So am guessing your stone is interior on grade installation. My other guess is there is a moisture issue that is causing the blotchy-ness.I would suggest that you use a moisture meter to determine if you have a moisture issue-If you don't have one, I have a couple we loan out to folks-we can send it ups-you can test and send back.Just let me know-On Thu, Nov 17, 2016 at 5:31 PM, Tony Warney <tony@excelstoneandtilecare.com > wrote:It was set in white. If it grout haze that is collecting dirt then clean the floors good you may even need to hone to remove the grout that is collecting dirt making the surface appear the way it does.

This is a new installation (about 2-3 months). The longer it set more of the splotchy areas are starting to appear.
I think it is either grout or mortar bleeding thru the stone. The stone is about 1 inch thick.
