Noted
Dyes react to acids so anytime we want to test a doctored stone we can use any type of acidic compound.
Citric,acetic, sulfamic , phosphoric will work.
Polishing compounds work well to remove dyes so you just run something like MB12 on the surface and the dye will come off.
That way you can know for sure what it is and if it can be removed.
