Tony, 
we use regular Bondo. it's fast and it worked great. 
We dig out the grout mask up the joint press it in. After it mushrooms underneath the tile we dig out the excess clean it up then unmask. and grout it. 
Your masking tape has to be about a 16th inch into the grout joint.
