I've got a client with a lava stone counter top, mined from South Africa. Does anyone have any experience cleaning, maintaining, & sealing with this surface? Client states that it's exceptionally porous. I don't have pictures, but it looks similar to soapstone (dark grey/black). Internet research shows lots of info on a glazed version of lava stone, but this is not.
