Thanks, Stu. I'm assuming that cleaning and sealing this will be fairly standard, as is for most acid resistant stone counter tops. Just wondering if anyone has run into any issues working with this before.

I've got a client with a lava stone counter top, mined from South Africa. Does anyone have any experience cleaning, maintaining, & sealing with this surface? Client states that it's exceptionally porous. I don't have pictures, but it looks similar to soapstone (dark grey/black). Internet research shows lots of info on a glazed version of lava stone, but this is not.

Thanks for any guidance.
