I think the cost per sf thing is somewhat meaningless and I would steer the customer away from thinking in those terms. Think instead about how many days and how many techs it will take to get it done. Add the cost of the sealer. Again you have to test to see whether one application will do it (probably not for terra cotta). Aldon has coverage guidelines on their labels. For instance, Mexiglaze is 75sf -400ft. per gallon. The other issue is that it is not returnable. So testing is a must. But, for example, if you have 1000 sf and the stuff costs $70/gal and you need 10 gallons, it will run an additional $700. Aldon Products stink like crazy but probably not an issue outdoors. Stone glamour is another similar product but I haven't used it.
