A wet towel with a hot iron works too to get candle wax out. After all the residue is completely removed and you're down to only stain. Then try this product. 40 volume oxidizer developer. It's a hair lightening products you can get from a beauty salon supply store.
It works great for removing color stains on all natural stones and many other surfaces. It works fast in like about an hour or two compared to other products that take 24 hours or more.

If the candle is scented that may be the hard part to remove-once you remove the surface wax try using a torch and pat the stain lightly with an absorbent material to pull it out. Solvents may help as well.

I would use ice to harden and pop off the worst of it and then use a steam iron over tripled up cotton towel to try to draw up the rest.  Candle wax dissolves easier with heat that chemistry, although the last residual may budge with a degreaser.  Those are my thoughts.
