Ok everybody, don't put any aggressive diamonds on this to sand out scratches. It WILL cause a lot of waves in the stone from the hard and soft areas. If there are etch marks they will polish out with 5X. I will let you know how I make out with the waves
I put in it. LOL
I have a counter top that looks like that and she told me it is Dolomite.
I have not worked on it, but the veins look shiny and the rest look less polished.

Also having an issue with raised veining. Seems the veining is a lot harder but the rest of the surface and is causing waves
