Just about impossible!!

I totally dominate my area and have more work than I can do and can't get to it all because not enough techs to do the work.
It's a double edge sword.

Every day I clear my phone messages knowing most of these people I'll never call back.

I run 4 techs but desperately need more help.  Or not, I just do what I can.

There's 3 stone restoration company's out here but we're so spread out we don't cross over into each other's territory.
They too are as busy as I. Is it like that every where?

I found it easier to hire someone with no experience.  I would look for someone with a trades background, that way they will already have hand skills and will be easier to train.  If you hire someone with experience you have to undo all their bad habits.  I hired a guy once that said he had 20 years experience..Come to find out all he was doing for 20 years was crystallization. He had no idea how to use diamonds.

Subject: Employee's

Hey those of you that have struggled with keeping enough technicians
employed this might help. My wife found a site called "Indeed", here in
California.
i've been getting a lot of emails from them and picked up a couple of good
guys.
I get kind of flooded with the unqualified, but I searched through them all
and found what I needed.
Very few with qualifying skills but I succumb to the fact that I'm just
going to have to train New technicians.

I put up signs and used craigslist but nothing ever worked like "indeed". I
got about 20 applicants in the last three weeks. And they still keep coming.
Again most are unqualified, but yesterday I got one with polishing skills
with the countertop fabrication background

Good luck to you all
