Agree-use a stainless steel cleaner-try a couple of different ones locally.

Learned my lesson long ago. I used Cameo Aluminum & Stainless Steel Cleaner. I think I bought it at Walmart. Also heard that Barkeeper's Friend works.

 

Go with the grain of the stainless steel.
