"Ever solicit reviews with Yelp" ???
Keep in mind that everyone has a free listing with Yelp and people will leave reviews there. By the way, you are not supposed to ever solicit reviews with Yelp. This is my vote... Put your money in Google Adwords and BirdEye. I promise you will get the best return...!--

That’s true they’re a pain in the butt I’ve been using them for about 5 years paying $500 a month and I got a lot of response. They would constantly call me trying to bump me up even before they delivered what they promised for $500.But I kept blowing them off and eventually it definitely paid for itself and was well worth itFor quite a while.
They continue to pester with calls but I never returned any of them. always the same thing “hi I’m your new agent...” your new agent...your new agent...
Then slowly The referrals 18 to 26 a month reduced down to maybe 1 or 2 a month. It seemed like they have there on and off switch that they use at Will. Then all of a sudden I started getting all these calls for small home projects like roof repair fence installation and painting.
I called them and they changed my status from marble polishing to contracting. They changed it back then maybe 5 a month. Two came in last week but only one might be a job. Small limestone vanity top polish.
I’m canceling them soon as I got time to make the call.
But the reviews and pictures I got in there are great. But that’s another thing I just remember. I got a lot of reviews that they would not post. Oh then I discovered one time that they deleted almost all my pictures that I posted on there and I had to repost new ones.
It seems like if you don’t play their game they mess with your reviews and your pictures.
The good thing is I don’t need them anymore.
My problem is too much work and not enough employees to do it.
thanks for reminding me, i’m through with them but my site will stay with pictures and reviews. All that stuff is free. Just got to make sure you check on it like I didn’t for a long time.
It may or may not workgood luck
Tony DeLunaI agree with BlainI have had yelp and angie's list for about a year.I just recently cancelled both-It depends on your area and market. It can be expensive-and they can be a pain in the ass.

We've never advertised with them, but we do get a fair amount of business from organic searches on Yelp. If you haven't set up a free profile, do it. Then, I would suggest that you do general searches on Yelp to see where you rank on several searches that your customers may use: marble polishing, granite restoration, etc. You may find that your organic rankings are pretty good already. Those who advertise will see their ads pop up on the first page, even if the consumer searches for your company name, pushing you off the front page.
For my dollar, if I'm going to spend more on advertising, I'd go with Adwords or Bing.

Has anybody had any positive results with Yelp yet?I have one of their sales people constantly calling me telling me everybody makes great money when using them. It's a $7,200 investment for the year and I'm just curious how everybody else is making out. Don't know whether to invest in that or Google AdWords. But my main question is about Yelp and everybody's results
