The only way to be sure is measure the COF. There are several methods of accomplishing this. Use of a BOT 3000 machine or a digital pull slip meter such as the American Slip meter are appropriate machines for this test.
You can implement an anti-slip product such as Friction to improve the COF and bring to within acceptable requirements. It is necessary to re-apply the product routinely to maintain the COF, as the product gets walked off. You simply add the product to your maintenance by alternating with your normal cleaner. Application frequency is based on the amount of foot traffic the floor receives.
This is the only way to maintain the terrazzo in a naturally polished state however as coatings or other methods will alter the floor.

I have recently completed a demo for a school district and honed and polished their terrazzo in place of them waxing.

The super has emailed and they love the floors, but he commented that it seems to be slicker?  Has everyone had to overcome this question, or have a document that discuss SCOF on polishing terrazzo.  Based on ASTM standards it should increase the SCOF similar to polished concrete.  Any thoughts?
