Like Stu said you will really need to watch the grout staining. Best to pre wet the joints before each section done.

Good Advice-just adding-Is the grout sanded or unsanded-be mindful to not discolor them.
While we sometimes use DiP's in our honing process to remove picture frames or produce a variety of honed finishes on surfaces, we don't generally use them to prep a surface for polishing.
The reason is we don't get a finish with high clarity.
I would consider using a combination of DIP's along with good quality resin diamonds and then a powder polish for a clean polish with good clarity.
Just a note-we have tested and or using and selling bonastre pads (DIP's) -the pads can be used in combination with resin diamonds and polishing compounds.

I would try to find out what type of setting material they used. Was it a thin set? a rapid cure thin set? Mud bed etc? I would wait at least a week to be sure everything is cured. Also do  a sounding test to make sure its a good installation

We are going to hone and polish newly installed travertine tiles. We will use DIP’s.  How much time should expire between installation and the honing and polishing?
