Hey Mark,
You could run a set of very thin diamonds mounted on spacers but the lippage and sharp edges may tear them up.
I suggest you run flash pads(or Bonastre pads) from 200 or 400 start up to their polish pad(impregnated with 5X) or stop at 800/1800 and powder polish.
The largest crux I see on this job is keeping the dark sanded grout lines clean-I would get some gray oxide to help with that.
If the client is ok with not removing all the wear and or scratches from the surface then I might consider bobs idea to just polish the surface.
Bonastre is a 3 step system that can work well on jobs like this-they are stiff however and the lippage may affect their result

Mark,

If you are wanting to polish, try using just the 5X or your favorite polishing powder first to see if that is sufficient. Polishing powders will work surprisingly well on their own. If it is not satisfactory, try using a diamond impregnated pad, say a 400g, and then your polishing powder. In any case do a test to confirm both the results and the procedure.

Best,

Can I get some input, customer sent pictures of floor that has not been polished in 25 years I have not done one of these yet looking at tomorrow, can I run my diamonds across this like a normal floor?
