I always offer two finishes. One is the older style that has a slight oatmeal finish- stop honing at 800 grit and then polish. Gives the floor a kind of sparkle. The second is a Glasser finish- hone to 1500 then treat with a concrete guard like SR2 and the. Burnish 1500 and 3000 with dips. We always hone wet even though we always go dry with concrete. I just think it comes out better and the slurry isn't sure how a big deal as compared to concrete slurry. Also we always hone like marble and don't use out concrete machine, but maybe I should try dry with the concrete machine.
We are honing and polishing this terrazzo and everything is coming out great, except the on the schluter strips are leaving a black streak on the terrazzo from the machines. Any ideas on how to prevent and not let this happen? Check out pics attached.
