Yes you can use marble diamonds. Kirk stone is porous,acid sensitive and will scratch.easy to refinish- crux is getting the color back without enhancing if I recall.

Shouldn’t really etch that easily but if it scratches easily, marble diamonds should work fine. I have refinished Burlington Stone which is a similar variety and it responds fairly well when honing.
