Agree with all however keep in mind this wont solve the problem. It could be some really hard water or it can be a poorly installed shower pan.  Just tell the customer they may have to have it refinished at least once per year. I'm not sure I would seal it either.

That shower stall looks pretty trashed-if the surfaces feel like sandpaper you will need to cut through that and get the stone smooth. 
We like to go dry using dust buddies and Hepa vacs to get this done quickly. 
We may start with a 70 Grit electroplated pad that can be followed by a 120 grit dry then we can transition to resins, Dip's or a combination of both.
If you are going to polish we generally transition to resin pads followed by polishing powder-
I think using the Bonastre pads would make this job easier and still provide consistent results.

Looks like etch marks. I would charge $4,000 to $5,000.00 it's a pain in the butt job. If they don't like to price let someone else stand in that shower for 2-4 days and hold up an hand machine.
