You could test it easily enough by using a scratch test -looks like limestone to me- Its soft, porous easy to hone and clean up-will soil/stain quickly. It looks as if it needs to be honed and polished, however, it is so white that it looks like ceramic or porcelain. Anyone have experience with this surface?
