You could EVENLY apply Klenztone #1 or 2 and allow to dwell for a half hour, massaging it in with a car wash brush. Then spray with an alkaline and vacuum up. Of course there are 100 things you will have to be very careful about and if you are not aware then don’t even attempt it. Use a scrap piece to come up with your formula and dwell time. You can add some pH neutral cleaner to the Klenztone to help it to lay flat (if it beads up you will have  train wreck on your hands)

Yeah -well noted-I bet he would pay you around $25/2750 to do it.
Run the UFO with the electroplated then the blend in the edges-

It’s probably about 50 ft.² max. This is a fabricator so he’s not going to want to spend that kind of money. Already told him it’s a bitch of a job so he should probably do it himself. He sends me a lot of work and he expects favors in return but I’m not busting my butt on this countertop especially with the edges.
Thanks Stu and Fred. Appreciate the feedback

Chris-you should be ok with the edges-you can use sandpaper and different type of abrasives-That's a $3500.00 job-how many linear feet is the kitchen.

Hydrofluoric acid will work but it is very dangerous to use. I would walk away before using that acid

Hi Stu. Yes it is fantasy brown but the problem I have is it’s already installed with extremely expensive wall tile on top of it. Going to be tough to get up to the edges on the sides and backsplash.
Was hoping some type of acid honing

Fantasy Brown-its gets sold as Quartzite,Marble and or Granite.

It will be straight forward to hone just tedious.
Possible to use 70 then 120 grit electroplated pads then transition to a copper pad like a 120 or 220 then finish with honing powders.
It is classified as a marble-looks better honed-

My fabricator client installed this granite countertop and the homeowner decided they wanted honed instead.
Backsplash tile has already been installed.
Mechanically honing this is probably impossible at this point. I tried putting some acid on these samples and was able to get a very little reaction. Apparently there is some calcium in this material. The fabricator sells it as a marble.
Has anybody had experience with some type of chemical to get a nice even hone?

Thank you,
