Only one tile has scratches and is worn in the center. It is not porous or soft. Before we cleaned it had a like high gloss with high clarity look. If you look close at the pictures, the pits appear tobe filled with grout at installation. Almost like a chiseled travertine. Is it possible it is some type of concrete tile?On Mon, Oct 15, 2018 at 5:17 PM Stuart Rosen <mail@stoneshine.com> wrote:Wow-that looks like porcelain in the pics-but the white inserts are marble far as I can tell-the hazy dull spots are what is making it react like stone-I see a straight edge in the tile-it isnt rounded or beveled. Can you scratch it- will it etch??Soft?Porous? On Mon, Oct 15, 2018 at 8:02 PM Tony Warney <tony@excelstoneandtilecare.com> wrote:I am having an issue with a floor. It was supposed to be porcelain, it had a high shine and clarity. We cleaned it with a alkaline cleaner and rinsed with a SX-15 truck mount. 3 days after the cleaning it has a haze in the tiles. We tested an area with a crystallizer to see if it would pop a shine, but not what we needed. They would slowly go back to having a slight haze. A couple of the tiles are worn in the center, 3 inches from the edge. Some of the tiles are fine. Traffic areas that we cleaned have this issue. I have posted pictures. A couple are close ups. Maybe it is not porcelain? Any ideas would be appreciated.
