Usually you want to meet a .50 slip test or greater unless it w wheel chair ramp which require greater slip resist, if I recall these areas need to be .60 or higher.

Remember you can go from a slip to a trip hazard if the surface has too much slip resist.

I personally have not done that before. Can someone share how that test is completed? Is there a specific “result” or “number” that would indicate it does not need further treatment?  Thank you!

Has anyone taken slip test reading on the stone, does it really need additional slip resist ?

Hi Everyone,

We have been asked by a slab distributer to see if we can increase the coefficient of friction for these slabs that are going to be used on exterior steps.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you, we appreciate your business!
