I thought it was a floor
Sorry
If it is vitremela it will come
Off with a four inch razor blade.
That coating was crap.
If it is Clearstone you can heat it and pull it off.it will damage the face of the stone and you will need to refinish it aggressively.
You can grind it as well but it will take time and you will need dust control as you will grind dry.

If it is clear stone then methylene chloride won't touch it. You have to grind it off.

The client has advised it could possibly be either drytreat vetrimella or Clearstone. The coating is approx 3mm thick!

It’s dileminated around the sink area.. never knew a “stripper” could remove resin or UV cured coatings!

Tell us more about the coating and the marble-pictures would be good.
You scrape a true marble you may create stuns marks and permanently damage the stone.
My go to test is a paint stripper(methylene chloride) to see how thick and hard  the coating is.
Use a razor blade to pull off the melted coating o see what you have.
I have never used a heat gun and a scraper. Mostly stripping by a combination of mechanical and chemical means-

Anybody had any success removing Resin coatings from marble surfaces ? I’ve been told a heat gun and scraper is one option..  Any advice would be great!
