I have great success just using diamonds on quartz. If you have a UFO then start with 1800. If it does not remove the blemish then go down to 800. Usually I finished with 1800 or 3000

Tony-If that ES is etching even a little Than it just may be some marginal type of material that has calcite in the mix.
I would test it so you know what your working on.
We have had the pleasure(not really) of working on these in hotels and other locations that ordered quantity of this stuff. Try treating it like a marble- you may be surprised. As far finishing it goes if the polishing compound is sort of working then try finishing with a crystallizer .

Agree with Fred.
Take it up to 3500 or 8500. You could use a polishing liquid like 3M Finesse-It at the end, if necessary.

generally, I don't use any polishing powders on ES.  I would take it up to a higher grit. I have good luck with Alpha Ceramica EX diamonds

Hey Stu & Joe, The customer doesn’t remember who it was that sealed it.
She told him it didn’t need sealing but he convinced her and she paid him to seal it.

Along with the dulling of the ceaser stone countertops from the sealer it does also have a few large etch spots. But not as much as one would expect if it were a marble.
The spot I polished does look etched and dull, like a smooth 800 grit powder hone after I used mb22, But all the spots came out and it’s consistent.

Just got to get more shine.
Is anybody familiar with a different polishing compound for this ceaser stone?

There are lots of materials out there-while it may be ceasarstone I would test the material as it looks etched from the polishing compound.
I would also test the hardness-try and determine what it really is-looks like a piece of stone we have in the shop that is ceasar and very hard to polish.

Is there any way you can find out what type of sealer or junk was put on the counter top??? Ceasarstone is a fancy name for. Quartz stone it does not need any sealers.

So if you can find out the chemical, there might be a way to remove what ever is there. It is ghost because there is moisture under neath the sealer if I am correct.

Let me know what you find out .

Hey Pro’s I have a customer with this dark brown Caesar Stone.
Some “carpet cleaner/stone sealer guy” sealed the countertop and left these dull patches and wipe marks that look like ghosting.
I polished with mb20 which left the shine inconsistent, then tried a few other granite compound... didn’t work.
But mb22 produced the best results but as you can see it left it dull.
I didn’t wanna try any diamond honing yet because is just a test and I don’t wanna get stuck with a spot I can’t get out.
Any suggestions?

Have a happy Thanksgiving!
